Public Participation/Involvement Plan

Goal: The goal of the Public Participation/Involvement Plan is to offer opportunities for the engagement of all citizens of City of Pine Bluff Transit Department's service area to participate in the development of City of Pine Bluff Transit Department's transportation programs.

Objectives: 

1. To provide a general notification of meetings particularly forums for public input,.
2. To hold meetings in locations which are accessible and reasonably welcoming to all area residents of the public.
3. To provide a framework of action appropriate to various types of plans and programs, as well as amendments or alterations to any such plan or program.
4. To use various illustrative visualization techniques to convey the information including but not limited to charts, graphs, maps and the internet.
5. To ensure that notice of non-discrimination is in public view in a common area of the agency and posted on the agency website.

Staff Training 
Training will be provided to staff members on policies and procedures. The employees will also be taught how to handle complaints filed individuals.

Voluntary Compliance Efforts 
The goal for Title VI and Title VI regulatory enforcement is to achieve voluntary compliance. These procedures include complaint investigations, compliance reviews, efforts to secure voluntary compliance, and technical assistance. The Title VI regulations provide the DOJ will investigate whenever it receives a complaint, report, or other information is received that alleges or indicates possible noncompliance with Title VI or its regulations.
